Frann Setzer
Associate Attorney

Since 2007, Frann has been an Associate Attorney at Fleischer & Associates where she focuses on family law and domestic matters. This area of law is very close to her heart, given her personal experience with divorce and child custody issues. Frann believes she brings not only life experience to her law practice, but has unique insight from her experience working in marketing, advertising, and business. In addition, she understands property division from owning and operating her own business for many years.
Frann is a member of the Family Law Division of the San Diego County Bar; Lawyers Club; and was accepted as a member of the Wallace Inn of Court from 2006-2007. Frann recently completed 40 hours of specialized family law mediation training with Forrest "Woody" Mosten, one of the most well respected family mediation experts in the country.
Originally from New York City, Frann received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1982 and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Business Administration from New York University's Stern Graduate School of Business in 1990. Frann relocated to San Diego and in 2003 entered law school on a partial scholarship. She graduated from California Western School of Law in the top 30% of her class in December of 2006. Frann earned coveted internships with both the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Public Defender.
Frann approaches her cases with the belief that, while litigation is necessary at times, family law attorneys have an obligation to serve as peacemakers. She is very aware that family relationships must survive the divorce process, especially where children are involved. Frann believes that mediation, negotiation and the use of counseling can help achieve a more peaceful divorce and improve post-divorce relationships.
When not working, Frann spends time with friends and family, especially her now 10 year old son. Frann also enjoys traveling and has been fortunate to have spent extensive time in many other countries including Ethiopia, Kenya/Mt. Kilimanjaro and Vietnam.
